Catalytic Mothers & A Groan to Call the Prodigals Home

In the first part of a 3-part dream on 11/5/23, I was in an upper room in a prayer circle with Rhema Trayner, Tammie Southerland and a few others I didn’t recognize (all moms). We were moving back and forth between prophetic collaboration and prayer when suddenly an anointing exploded in me to prophesy and I shouted, “PRODICALS ARE COMING HOME!” Then a spontaneous and unified wail erupted through us as we interceded as one.

As soon as I woke up, my spirit exploded with, “God is releasing a groan in the earth that will call the prodigals home!” (Romans 8:26-27) It’s the kind of prayer that goes beyond our limits of human understanding and articulation into a wordless space that perfectly receives, expresses and partners with the heart of God.

And it’s important that we understand there’s more than one kind of “prodigal son”. There were two sons in Luke 15:11-32. One ran far away into wild living and was obvious about his wandering heart. The eldest son stayed in the house doing all the “right things” yet did not grasp the heart of the Father and lived with an orphan heart.

This time is meant for the great returning of BOTH.

And I heard God say, “These are the days of catalytic mothers!”

In the dream, Rhema & Tammie represent apostolic women. There is a dynamic partnership between mothering apostles & prophets in the earth right now to catalyze movements of territory taking & air superiority.

A catalyst is:

  1. a substance that enables a chemical reaction to proceed at a usually faster rate or under different conditions than otherwise possible

  2. an agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action

These catalytic mothers are awakening the Bride to an advancing posture (rather than a defensive and reactionary one) that terrifies darkness and moves mountains many have called immovable. These are mothers who will soar above prayer lists (nothing wrong with lists) and change the atmospheric conditions in the spirit so that Light and revelation can pierce through the darkness and confusion to quicken orphan hearts to sonship.

These returning sons and daughters will be firebrands and laid-down lovers that take the name of Jesus to the ends of the earth. They will not shirk at persecution. They will not be groomed into religion’s form of godliness that denies the power thereof. (2 Timothy 3:5) They will burn like a blazing fire and pierce some of the darkest places on the planet with the brilliant Light of Jesus. In every sphere of influence, they’ll become hinges of history with no care for who gets the credit. Yes, Lord!

How should we respond?

Make space for prayer. Symbolically the upper room speaks to living from God’s perspective. Ephesians 2:6 says we’re seated with Christ in heavenly places. This is a positional truth for all who are in Christ (born again & surrendered to His Lordship). However, growing in our ability to SEE and LIVE from where we’re SEATED is exercised intentionally through intimacy with God and responsiveness to His ways as He teaches us and leads us in real time.

Ask God to fill you with His heart for sons and daughters, both in and outside of the house. (People walking with Jesus and connected to His body and those who seem to be running in the opposite direction and anyone within that spectrum.) Break all agreement with accusation, unforgiveness, hopelessness or bitterness of any kind. We must allow God to cleanse our lips so that what we speak brings forth only life and the ministry of reconciliation. (Isaiah 6, Proverbs 18:21, 2 Corinthians 5:14-21)

Be intentional and spirit led in your relationships. And it’s time to get over the awkwardness of praying together with other people. God is knitting together relationships in this season for such a time as this. None of us carries the full picture, but crazy breakthroughs are going to be released as we contend as ONE. Watch what God does as everyday sons and daughters come into alignment with His heart & groan for what His heart burns for!

I hear God saying, “They are mine and this is the time!” Let’s partner with His heart and see the greatest homecoming the world has ever seen!
