Go Back to What He Said
GO BACK to what He said.
Some are feeling disillusioned right now because it seems like God is quiet about areas and things you feel most desperate to hear Him about.
Some feel like they’re experiencing a wild pendulum between a sense of prophetic overwhelm from listening to a multiplicity of voices carrying the “word of the Lord” and a sense that you are abandoned, or somehow on God’s backburner when it comes to hearing God for yourself and discerning your next right thing.
My friend, you are not abandoned. I sense the Father saying that He’s awakening you to the depth of invitation sitting like pregnant seed on the inside of words He’s already spoken to you. Because His words are never just information. They are revelation, which by nature contains manifold wisdom, the initiation of divine exchange, and all sufficient grace to walk out the altar (and thus transformation) connected to that Word.
It doesn’t mean you haven’t already walked out that word to the measure you knew how. You’re not being punished or reprimanded. It’s just that God is releasing on the earth a revelation of the robust provision hidden within His instruction that requires abiding relationship, intentional stewardship, and ongoing surrender. He doesn’t want us to settle for cheap “hits” and pick me ups when our inheritance is found in the depths of Jesus Christ.
What does this have to do with your next right thing? Everything. The battle over your choices is fought in your posture. His living Word invites us into a posture that shapes our paradigm and how we SEE, is how we LIVE. This is where it gets exciting.
Because the sooner we understand that God’s Word will never deliver us into a life that sets us free of dependency on Him, the faster we can abandon our fleshly striving for the daily surrender + obedience that yields a fruitfulness we could never contrive with our own hands. Such. Good. News.
There is a fresh wind coming for those who will go back to His Word. Pull out your journals. Take a walk down memory lane. What did He say to you? Ask Him, “What are you inviting me into? I’m here for it.”
